Welded Steel Pipe (ERW/EFW): Process: Hot-rolled coil → Forming → High-frequency / Submerged Arc Welding → Sizing Specifications: Round pipes φ21–2000mm; Square/Rectangular pipes 20×20–800×800mm Advantages: Low cost, high efficiency, comprehensive range of specifications; the mainstream choice for structural piping. Seamless Steel Pipe： Process: Hot-rolled / Cold-drawn solid billet → Piercing → Rolling → Finishing Advantages: Uniform wall thickness, high pressure resistance, no weld seams; used for high-pressure applications and demanding structural requirements. - Delivery Condition
Delivery Condition: As-Rolled (AR): Original state; lowest cost. Normalized (N): Refines grain structure, enhances impact toughness. Thermomechanically Rolled (M): Controlled rolling and cooling; high strength and high toughness (ML series). Normalized + Tempered (NT): S460+ grades; ultra-high strength and high toughness. - Weldability: Low carbon equivalent; conventional welding requires no preheating. For thick plates (>40 mm), preheating to 50°C is recommended to prevent cracking.
- Machinability: Exhibits good performance in cold bending, punching, and cutting operations; capable of 90° cold bending (with an inner radius of 1.5t) without cracking.
- Corrosion Resistance: As a standard carbon steel, it possesses no inherent corrosion resistance; outdoor applications require protective painting or galvanizing.
- Service Temperature: Maintains stable strength during short-term exposure up to 400°C; not suitable for low-temperature (<0°C) environments involving high impact loads.
